Person 'trapped inside taxi' after crash on main road Fire, ambulance and police were all sent to the scene following the Norris Green crash A person was reportedly "trapped inside a taxi" after a crash on a main road. Emergency services were called to the junction of Parthenon Drive and Utting Avenue in Norris Green at around 9am on Tuesday, September 17. Merseyside Police confirmed the crash involved a Hackney cab and Volkswagen. Two fire engines and the search and rescue were sent to the scene to assist. One of the cars, understood to be the taxi, had three people inside. Two of the people were out before emergency services arrived, however one person was found to be trapped inside. The fire service confirmed the person trapped inside the taxi was "conscious and breathing".
