The man sought by police after two suitcases filled with human remains were found dumped on Clifton Suspension Bridge took a taxi to the scene, it has emerged.
The suspect, who has now been pictured by police for the first time, may have been stopped from throwing the heavy suitcases over the bridge by the high safety railings.
The grim discovery was made just before midnight last night when staff challenged a man acting suspiciously on the famous bridge in Bristol.
A picture of the moment bridge staff uncovered the grisly contents of the cases has now emerged, showing two men in high-vis vests using torches to investigate.
