An RHS daytime event is taking place at the Mayfield Depot adjacent to Piccadilly Station. The 4 day event commences on Thursday 18 April and finishes on Sunday 21 April. A number of road closures are being implemented for the duration of the event around the Mayfield Depot site. These are as follows:
Temperance Street
Closed to traffic between Fairfield St and Hoyle Street
Travis Street
Closed to traffic between Baring Street and Fairfield Street
Baring Street
Closed to traffic between Travis Street and Buxton St
The short section of Taxi Rank at the North end of Baring Street, between Travis Street and Fairfield Street will remain open to feed into the Piccadilly Train Station rank as normal. However the rest of the Taxi rank on Baring Street will be enclosed within the road closure between Travis Street and Buxton Street and will therefore not be accessible to any traffic including Taxis. To compensate for the loss of the rank on Baring Street a temporary rank is being installed along Travis St (Piccadilly Hotel side) for the duration of the event. Taxi Drop Off/Pick up signage will be displayed on Travis Street to prevent other vehicles from waiting in this area. Road Closures will be lifted at midnight on Sunday. Taxi drivers should therefore access this temporary rank from the south via the following route:
London Road - Baring Street - Buxton Street - Berry Street
