Cyclist fights for his life after Hackney accident sees Tesla crash into taxi and bike
A crash has left a cyclist fighting for his life this morning (Tuesday, August 15). A Tesla crashed into a private hire vehicle and a bicycle yesterday evening, just before 6pm.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where he is fighting for his life.
The driver of the Tesla, a 44-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taken into custody.
The incident took place on Great Eastern Street, Hackney.
The road was shut for some time but has since reopened.
Any witnesses or anyone with any dashcam footage is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 6021/14Aug.
