A man claimed to be an off-duty taxi driver to pick up a woman in the centre of Norwich who he intended to sexually assault.
Grant McCluskey, 38, had spotted the 24-year-old victim walking near the Compleat Angler pub on Prince of Wales Road in the early hours of the morning.
He circled the area twice in his car before pulling up to offer her and her friend a lift.
