A man has pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving of a taxi driver in a high-speed smash.
James Hobson, 33, will now be sentenced next month.
Middlesbrough taxi driver Malik Ameer Abbas died after a late night crash on the A172 at Dixons Bank, on March 29 last year. Mr Abbas, 27, was driving a Volkswagen Passat.
Hobson was in a Mercedes C220, when he hit Mr Abbas close to the junctions of Captain Cook's Crescent and Grange Crescent in Marton.
After his death, Mr Abbas was described as "a lovely, hardworking lad who always had a smile on his face".
