A 'serious crash' has reportedly shut a major road in London as an air ambulance rushed to the scene. Emergency services were called to an incident 'involving a black cab' shortly after 12 noon on Saturday (January 14) near The Ritz hotel.
The crash reportedly happened near Green Park London Underground station, which is served by the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines. The nature of the crash is not yet known.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix is reporting: "A4 Piccadilly in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to serious accident, a black cab involved between Green Park Station and Half Moon Street.
"Both sides of the road are now shut. The taxi is on the westbound side after The Ritz. The air ambulance has now left from Green Park."
