A taxi driver left the scene of a crash after a cyclist suffered a broken arm.
The 27-year-old cyclist was knocked off his bike when the white Skoda taxi crashed into him in Burnley.
The incident happened between 11pm and midnight on New Year’s Eve near the junction of Accrington Road, Liverpool Road, and Rossendale Road in Burnley.
According to police, the man was cycling along Accrington Road, coming from Hapton, when the taxi made a right turn onto Liverpool Road – crashing into the cyclist.
Police say the taxi driver and fare stopped briefly but left the scene without providing any details so officers are trying to trace the vehicle to speak to the driver.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
