I have been following Google Maps for a fornight or so.
I noticed that when you use Google Maps a new feature has been added. It is a little Man with his hand up to fet a taxi.
That feature was quickly uodated to offer you a price for a PH hire Car or Taxi with a BOLT, FREENOW or GETT.
It has now started showing you available Vehicles near you. I can track my own own Cab on screen in real time.
When the punter clicks on the type of vehicle he wants at the price shown, he has to click on the link for the relevant app, presumably Google then get thier fee from this action. I belive this is called "Click Bait".
Upon signing up Google get a cut of the fare.
So as well as Bolt, Freenow and Gett giving you Fare a haircut, it would appear that Google are taking part of your fare also.
How many people are making a living Cabmen ?
