This is the moment a taxi ended up on its side when a "serious" crash closed a north Hull street.
Emergency Services were called to Cranbrook Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning. The burgundy-coloured taxi had flipped on to its side following the accident.
Describing the crash as "serious", a witness said he thought the taxi was the only vehicle involved in the incident, though full details could not immediately be confirmed. The driver managed to escape from the vehicle before emergency services arrived at around 12.08am. Humberside Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene while police carried out door-to-door inquiries.
In a statement, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said the accident involved a vehicle on its side and one man had "self released" prior to the arrival of fire crews. First aid and oxygen were given, while small tools and a trauma bag were used. The incident was left in the care of paramedics and the police.
