A man was rushed to hospital after a collision with a taxi in Coventry. Emergency services were called to the junction of Lockhurst Lane and Livingstone Road in the early hours of this morning (October 10).
An ambulance, two paramedics and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended the scene in Foleshill at around 1.30am. Crews found an unconscious pedestrian, a man in his 30s, trapped beneath the taxi.
Firefighters from Foleshill Fire Station used specialist equipment to free the man who was trapped. He suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry.
