A POLICE operation in a Bradford area resulted in an arrest and several drivers being reported to court.
Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team joined forces with DVSA, Taxi Licencing and Environmental Enforcement in Wyke earlier this week.
The arrest of a man wanted for domestic breach of a non-molestation order was made.
Three drivers, two of which were disqualified, were reported to court and Taxi Licencing suspended two individuals.
The day started with wardens and PCSOs conducting parking patrols at Appleton Academy drop-off and pick-up times.
Police stopped a large number of vehicles across the ward, and brought many to their check site at the school.
A white Peugeot Partner van was seized for licence offences, one Stop and Search for drugs was conducted and there were five Intelligence Submissions.
There were 16 Traffic Offence Reports and one Vehicle Defect Notice issued.
Environmental Enforcement officers inspected nine vehicles with three drivers asked to produce documents issued and the DVSA prohibited five vehicles for dangerous defects.
A spokesperson from the force said: "Thanks is given to Appleton Academy for providing support to the operation, which was deemed a success taking some dangerous vehicles off the roads, disrupting those involved in criminality and protecting victims of crime."
