Manchester taxi plate wanted

Hi 

Looking to buy Manchester taxi plate  , any idea about the current market price ?

To buy a plate that isn’t attached to a vehicle, I would suggest should be quite cheap as you will then need to invest a considerable sum of money to place a Euro 6 cab on that plate . £40k for a Mercedes or even more for an Electric vehicle . By the time you have insured it and paid for a test you will have run up quite a bill . To buy a cab that is attached to a plate and is able to start work immediately I would suggest would be a better option . Currently £8k. is what I think a plate is worth and obviously you add that to the value you place on the vehicle. Old TX’s are practically worthless . Euro 6 cabs are all expensive because of the impending ‘ Emission Charge ‘ . When it comes to valuing a vehicle proprietors often live in a dream world and place a unrealistic value on their vehicle . If you are thinking of buying a plate and then placing a new cab on it then I wish you all the luck in the world , as I think you will need it.

Thanks a lot for your advice and informations ,  I rang someone he said the plate value is around £10k-£15k   , but i believe it is less than £10k
