Garage Material Price Increase
Please see attached a new schedule of fees for garage materials which will
come into effect from November 9 2020.

The fees are charged to you at cost price which is the same price we
purchase the goods at from our supplier.
The new fees have been calculated based on an annual price increase of 2.7%
charged to us by our suppliers. The increases are only a few pence on the
items you purchase.
Vehicle Appointments
In addition to the price increase can we advise that you check your
appointment letter, which was sent to you at renewal, to remind you of your
booked appointment dates. If you do not attend a booked appointment, you
will need to book another appointment at a cost of £60.
Items to be aware of when attending for an MOT test
When you arrive, you must use the intercom/buzzer at the gate to gain
entrance to the administration office
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your test is due to begin
Due to government guidelines, and to maintain social distancing, there is
limited waiting inside for a maximum of 4 persons at any one time and masks
must be worn.
This may mean you are not able to wait inside the portacabin. Please
ensure you dress for the weather and bring an umbrella with you just in
case.
Please ensure you have emailed your insurance to
taxi.licensing@manchester.gov.uk before attending.
Please ensure your vehicle is clean inside.
Ensure that any safety screen/shield fitted to a private hire vehicle
(which has not been factory fitted) is removed prior to the attendance for
a vehicle compliance test. Your test will be abandoned if the safety
screen/shield are in place and you will be charged £60 for a new test slot
Please bring with you a way to pay for any items you may need to purchase
at the garage
Take time to read the signs and maintain social distancing when queueing
If you need to walk past someone, please turn away from them.
Please ensure that all renewal fees have been paid before attending.
Please do not approach the testers.
