It has recently been announced that the second city tram crossing running
along Princess Street and Cross Street will be launched as a passenger
carrying service on Sunday 26 February 2017.
A number of traffic restrictions have been introduced along the new route
and to assist licenced drivers, details of these restrictions as they apply
to Hackney Carriages and Private Hire vehicles are being provided within
this message.
Please find attached two maps which explain the restrictions that are now
in place. One map shows how the restrictions apply to Hackney Carriages and
the other as they apply to Private Hire vehicles.

It is important that these restrictions are adhered to by drivers as they
have been put in place for everyone's safety. This will become more
important once the trams have started running along this route.
Drivers are also asked to respect the other parking restrictions along the
route of the trams tracks and not to park/wait along the route and not to
cause unnecessary obstruction.
