Hi All,
Just thought I would let you all know that Lancasterian School have been successful in securing the funding following the Tesco Bags of Help vote in our local Tesco stores.
Our project came first and has been chosen by Tesco Customers to receive a grant award of £12,000.00!
Voting was held at Tesco stores between Monday 31st October 2016 and Sunday 13th November 2016 and proved to be hugely successful with over 6 million votes being cast by Tesco Customers across England, Scotland and Wales.
This funding has been allocated for use in supporting the development of sensory and green areas in our playground development(Taxiaid cause) with sensory planting, sedum roofs etc. I have a meeting on Friday this week with Groundwork who will be completing this part of the work to finalise and link in plans with the existing developments.
Congratulations and thank you to all who voted for us! Please pass on our thanks to your friends, families and colleagues who may also have contributed to our success in the voting stages! Thanks also to all those customers for spending 5p on their carrier bags as it all goes to good causes like ours around the country.
