Refusal to take guide dog, cigarette smoke in the car – it’s a record year for complaints against taxi drivers
A taxi driver who refused to allow a guide dog in their car was fined €250, while another, who smoked while the passenger was in the vehicle, was hit with a €100 fine. The cases are just two of almost 1,800 complaints received by the National Transport Authority (NTA) about taxi, hackney and limousine drivers last year – a record high.
