PRICE HIKE Scots airport taxi drivers set for 150% drop-off price increase from tomorrow Passengers will be made aware of the price hike as they approach the airport Paige Beresford AIRPORT taxi drivers in Aberdeen are facing a 150 per cent rise to their drop-off fee from tomorrow. The official taxi firm for the airport will see the current £2 increase to £5 in the major shake-up. This means drivers will need to pay an extra £3 for every journey they take to the airport. A memo was sent to drivers explaining the change before the firm increases its weekly barrier fee to £200, according to the Press and Journal. Bosses at Aberdeen Airport Taxi Management explained that the price hike comes as part of a model which is set to offer more flexibility to drivers. They added that it would allow them "to work as much or as little as they like”. www.thescottishsun.co.uk/motors/11737612/scots-airport-taxi-drivers-drop-off-price-increase-tomorrow/
