The mayor of the ancient town of Dubrovnik has introduced a ban on suitcases with wheels on, after citizens in the town complained about the noise made by the wheels on tourist's suitcases disturbing the peace.
Many years ago when I was a new wet behind the ears cabby. (A newness) An old cabby of many years was bemoaning the state of the trade. A regular pastime amongst cabbies back then, and probably it's still the same today. "That was the start of ruination of the trade" he said, pointing at something. When I asked him what he meant? He pointed his pipe at something across the street and said. Whoever the Bas**d was who came up with the idea of putting wheels onto suitcases".....
