Addison Lee arrives in Manchester.
London PH Giant Addison Lee arrives in Manchester, EXCEPT, they missed it on their Sat Nav and instead set up in a nearby Town, usually the case with PH drivers, but not the Companies.
Addison Lee are however owned by U.S. Equity group Carlyle and it must be remembered that Mark Twain (another Yank) once said of Manchester. “I would like to live in Manchester, England. The transition between Manchester and death would be unnoticeable.”
However , for whatever reason, locating near Manchester but licensing with a more efficient authority is no doubt a wise one.
Lets hope they can give UBERK a run for their money. It is not a coincidence that UBERK have an 'Office' in Stockport as well.

Someone (Alan McQ) an old friend informed me today of something quite obvious. I cannot believe I missed it.
Addison Lee trumpet they have arrived in Manchester but have registered in Stockport.
It now seems that they did this because Manchester would not relax the color policy of only allowing White and Silver vehicles to be plated as PH cars.Addison Lee have Black Galaxy's no older than 3 years.
The outcome of this ? We have scum from all over the Country driving cars plated elsewhere any any color any age.
The first time a really professional company try to register here and drive the standard up, they are refused.
Is this the way to 'Protect the Public'
At least the downward spiral of Manchester's PH operations has lessened the impact on our beloved Hackney trade, yes we are suffering, but not as much as the rest of the Country.

Addison Lee have also gone live in Liverpool, Cambridge and Edinburgh.
Our colleagues in Liverpool did not believe me.
Times are going to get very difficult for PH operators now, they are all trying to devour each other.
Cutting fares to the bone now is their only hope. We all know from news this week that Addison and Uber have done just that. Addison have also sacked driver's who complain.
Watch this space, its going to get bloody !
