Most of you will already be aware of the"taxi drivers of excellence"awards. This is an award that was introduced a couple of years ago, in partnership with Manchester College. This years event is scheduled to take place on Monday ie 21 November
In general terms any taxi driver who has completed the NVQ level 2 qualification in taxi driving or equivalent, is invited to the town hall to be presented with a small gift of a tie, landyard and pin badge all of which contain the logo " driver of excellence " . This years event is slightly smaller than the previous 2 years, however we still have over 150 taxi drivers who have achieved the NVQ or equivalent qualification during the previous 12 months, who have indicated that they wish to attend
As in previous years all trade representatives are invited to come along and support your members in what is a positive event about Manchester's taxi drivers
I have attached a running schedule for the event which is expected to last just over an hour followed by lunch . The awards are taking place in the banqueting hall in the town hall . If you would like to attend the event, please could you let me know, we can then make sure that adequate catering and refreshments are available
