I am sure that it happens regularly.

There were many occasions over the years with different drivers that when I got in the cab in the morning everything had changed. Different seating and mirror positions, just the general feel of the cab. Any regular driver can usually tell instantly if somebody else has been driving a cab/car as soon as they get into a vehicle. This used to happen about two or three times a month. On one occasion when I questioned my night driver, he said that his cousin was thinking about applying for a Hackney licence, and "He had sat in the cab to see what it felt like" !!!

Hi,your right I know the owner of manchester private hire firm who said that he knows of false badges going around this is not another cabbies tale.
