I received a parking ticket on City Rd East in Manchester when I attended a Licensing Meeting on the 30th August 2011. I had returned to my vehicle and spotted a ticket on my windscreen. I removed the ticket and read it and straight away started to take photo evidence, I took a photo of the pay & display voucher in my window which they say that I did not display.
I wrote a letter to the City Council explaining all the above and that I thought they were in my opinion wrong, could they please show me the photo graphical evidence they have of my vehicle being parked illegal. I enclose the photo of my ticket below.
I have a link at the bottom to show you the letter I received saying they were canceling my PCN ticket, although the warden said in his/her notes that I was not displaying a ticket.
The ticket in my photo was just under the anti slip mat I have on my dash board, it could have been covering the final time expiry, but even if it was not the ticket shows the time it was bought on the left, how much was paid £4.00 which is the maximum amount payable for a three hour stay, so if the warden had done his/her maths they would know how long I could stay (3 hrs from 9:46am) why put a PCN on my vehicle at 11am ?
So my opinion it is worth checking everything and make sure you take photo’s of everything for proof at a later date!
